What is Aquaponic System

An aquaponic system is a type of agriculture that combines the cultivation of plants and aquatic animals in a symbiotic environment. In an aquaponic system, waste produced by the aquatic animals is broken down by bacteria into nutrients that are then absorbed by the plants. The plants, in turn, help to purify the water that the aquatic animals live in.

This type of system can be used to grow a variety of plants, including vegetables, herbs, and fruit, and can be used to raise fish, crustaceans, and other aquatic animals.

Aquaponic systems can be set up on a small scale, such as in a backyard or on a patio, or on a larger scale, such as in a greenhouse or warehouse.
